We started living in China in 2003 we are originally from Canada it has been a bit of a challenge, but a whole lot of fun. I went to pick up my 5 year old daughter from a Chinese pre-school, she is 1 of 3 foreigner children at this school of appoximately 300-400 children. Her teacher (Apple) meets me at the door, and says that your daughter broke her nose on the playground this morning. WHAT!!!??? As my eyes scanned the classroom of these adorable Chinese children and I couldn’t see her anywhere, my heart froze, I thought maybe they took her to the hospital already and hooked her up to an IV - which seems to be their cure for everything (Oh my, my poor little girl -they will have to break and re-set her nose etc.etc.) a few moments later my daughter comes running up and explains to me that her nose was bleeding- Chinese-English translation - BROKEN/BLEEDING same thing.
