Yahoo, a big congratulations to Team Yellow(The KillerBees) for winning the Dongbei Cup - 3rd Annual Ball Hockey Tournament yesterday - May 26th against Team Black, it could have been anyones game the score ended up to be 6-5 in less than a minute overtime. It was a very exciting game enjoyed by all teams, fans, and students. It was a nail-biter at times, but neither team ever gave up and it was a fantastic game to watch - I made it out to two games this season - Wednesdays game and Fridays game(The final) both games were well played and the energy those guys put into those games I can now realize why they live and breathe hockey out here in China - WOW!! Bill was the goalie for team yellow and is a very HHMM! I’m not sure how to describe him - some of his colleagues were saying that he is a similar player to Hasek, doing lots of rolling around, and coming out to get the puck (which makes me very nervous) is that a show-man, or it that an intense player I don’t know. They celebrated Friday night, which I understand was lots of fun and tons of testosterone flying around. Congratulations to all the teams and players that played in this years tournament. I look forward to seeing more games next year.

The first time it happened, I was absolutely livid. I was yelling (NO way!!) - I was in a taxi in the back seat going to my destination and the taxi driver pulls up to another person standing on the side of the road, and that person gets in the front seat, I am wondering what the —-? is going on here. I realize that the taxi driver is picking up two fares and making twice the money while I have a stranger in the car with me. What makes people think that this is an OK thing to do? Can you imagine what would happen if this occured in Canada or anywhere in North America? I can still count on one hand the times that this has happened but I must admit it feels strange when it does. I have come to realize that on rare occurences this will happen and the last time it did I almost felt like a good samaritan to the student who got in the taxi 10 blocks later, it was raining and the poor kid was soaken wet. They dropped me off and then sped away. I still don’t know if they charged the other person.
