One of the wine we chose for the Wedding Anniversary is no longer available. So dad and I are doing a little testing on the side to decide what to do.

This is his thoughts on the wine.

I didn’t have the heart to tell him that the bucket was the spit bucket.

So this is the guest that ripped apart the sunflower, M & D have a couple of bird feeders close to the kitchen window and that’s where Dad decided was a good place to plant this years contender, it was growing up and over the roof, but funny we don’t have any pictures of that.

Good luck to all the other growers.

Wow we sure have been hearing a lot about what happened to the sunflower in BC, Dad is claiming that one of his house guests might have had something to do with it, Well I have one thing to say (take a look) at your outside guests.

We are close to coming up with the culprit stay tuned.

A letter from Nick (my dad)

Hi Everyone out there in the wilderness;

This morning we got a warning about having to be on the look-out for would be unscrupulous persons coming to maybe sabotage our plants, (Not to worry about someone coming from outside)

We have someone in our midst, as the photo’s will show.(attached)

I do not have any proof, however I suspect that the Judge or her accomplice (who is a guest at our house at the moment) had something to do with the nasty episode. as they both looked very guilty early that morning.

So be kind to the visiters who are coming to visit, they mean no harm, however it would be nice to know who your friends close by really are.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Good growing everyone Adieus GALAXY.

This blog entry is dedicated to a friend of ours who lost his sister. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time.

The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains…..
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.

We have been working at two chicken farms in Sask. Why?? you ask - well were not sure, but we are having a good time. When an opportunity comes your way - JUMP!

Bill and I feel like Numan from Seinfeld coming in and cleaning up the muffin bottoms.

It’s always great to go to Sask. seeing relatives, going out for some good dinners, and meeting new people. Some more interesting than others, (Carny comes to mind)

Bill and I drove out to Sask. on Monday and arrived at our destination on Tuesday at 6:30pm, We had one little incident with the gas gauge (it doesn’t work) so we ran out of gas, but other than that the ride was uneventful, and very beautiful. We didn’t bring the girls cause we had work to do while we were out here but I think they would have had a fun time with all the activities to do one the drive here. Lots of enchanted forests, mini playlands, and lots of animals to gaze at.

We were off to work on Wednesday morning, so we needed to rest up.

Stay tuned

August 1st is Sisters Day!
My sister is so special to me, she is one of the hardest working women I know.

She has 3 wonderful boys, runs a horsefarm, works full time as a school secretary, and still has time to work out at the gym and take care of herself.

We had the pleasure of going out the other night to talk and catch up like we always do every year when I come home, I look forward to these days
