Well here we are again, another year finished, finito, done..
What did we learn this year? Was it a successful year? Did we
love like we should love? Did we treat people how they should
be treated, or how we would like to be treated ourselves? Let’s
contemplate on that for awhile.
As for resolutions - I haven’t made any yet, but I do plan to make one.
It is Jan. 6th and I still haven’t made one….
2008 was filled with happiness, friends, family, travelling and all and
all a very good year.
Jan/Feb we are off to Thailand, and Vietnam had a wonderful time.
Eating great food, visiting friends, drinking strong but tasty coffee, and
touring around the country.
March brought us back to work after a wonderful holiday, we have
Easter with Nathalie’s great pinata.
April our daughter Nadia celebrates her 6th birthday and late in April
Mom and Dad C. are coming to China to visit and tour around during our May holiday.
May we travel to Beijing with Mom and Dad, enjoy a bellydancing show,
dressing up like Koreans, and eating some fantastic food in Beijing. Visit
the Korean border.
June comes and we are winding up the school year, Ava finishes grade 2 and
Nadia kindergarten.
July we are bound for the great land of Canada for our yearly two month visit.
Our niece and nephew Matt and Crissy are getting married, and the girls are part
of the Wedding party. This year is a little different for us, Bill is planning on going
fishing for the whole vacation, but doesn’t work out and gets off the boat and joins
us on the 17th of July (Ava’s birthday) to hang out for the rest of the summer.
August is filled with lazy days of summer, going to Merritt to our friends cabin,
water skiing, tubing and a bit of fishing.
Mom and my nephew’s birthday celebration, lots of swimming
Sept. brings us back to China for yet another year. Ava starts grade 3, and Nadia
is growing fast and starting grade 1.
October back into the swing of things by now, a furniture shopping trip to Beijing takes place.
November Bill goes to Harbin for a hockey tournament, and our baby Mischa turns 3.
December is filled with happiness due to the fact that we actually get a day off for
Christmas this year. Lots of parties and get togethers with friends, Mischa and a
friends double birthday celebration,Christmas, New Years, some ice skating on
the pond, and lots of fun with our new wii.
That rounds up the year in a small nutshell.
2009 will be filled with adventure, love and fun.
We will leave 2008 behind ready to tackle another year
Here is a wrap up of the year in pictures, not in order but do enjoy.
